Is Functional Medicine- And The Deeper Well- Right For You?
Choosing a healthcare practice is about alignment. Functional medicine works best when patients and clinicians share expectations around goals, timelines, and roles. The questions below are designed to help you reflect on whether The Deeper Well Functional Medicine — and functional medicine more broadly — is the right fit for you at this stage of your health journey.

What Are My Goals For Healthcare?
Functional medicine is rooted in whole-person, root-cause care. Our patients are typically interested in understanding why symptoms are happening, not just how to suppress them. This model works best for people who are motivated to take an active role in their health, understand that meaningful change often takes time, and are focused on long-term resilience, prevention, and overall wellbeing. Care commonly includes lifestyle, nutrition, stress physiology, behavior change strategies, and nervous system regulation alongside conventional medical evaluation.

What Am I Looking For In A Care Team?
Our practice is designed for ongoing, relationship-based care rather than one-time advice or quick check-ins. Functional medicine often involves deeper assessment, thoughtful follow-through, and engagement between visits. It is not intended for urgent, acute, or crisis-based medical care. Patients in our practice maintain a primary care provider and work with specialists as needed; we function as part of a broader care team.
Our practice is membership-based and does not bill insurance. Patients are comfortable with a fee-for-service model and understand that labs, supplements, or specialized testing may involve additional costs. Most view this care as an intentional investment in their long-term health rather than a short-term fix.

Who Am I?
Many of our patients are in their 30s–60s (though age alone does not determine eligibility) and seek support for areas such as stress physiology, gut health, inflammation, autoimmunity, hormones, energy, or prevention. They value clear structure, professional boundaries, and mutual respect in a healthcare relationship.
